Adjustable Head Restraint

Adjustable Head Restraint

Manufactured from austenitic stainless steel to EN 10088. The adjustable head restraint restrains the top of the internal leaf of a cavity wall or the top of internal walls. It can be fixed to either concrete or steelwork and is designed to allow differential movement between the inner leaf and the structure whilst providing restraint to the panel. The foot of the restraint is built into the bed joint and the centre of the restraint must be positioned in the vertical joint at least 50mm from the edge of the blockwork.

The sliding tie which has a tensile strength of 14.54KN and compressive strength of 4.45KN is provided with a hole or slot to suit an M8 bolt.

The adjustable head restraint is designed to suit a standard 215mm block and can resist a load of 1.5KN
